Code of Conduct

Purpose

Rose City Digital Commons ("RCDC") is an Oregon nonprofit corporation that provides charitable and educational resources in digital arts, including access to equipment, workspace, and community for creators in Portland, Oregon.

Members & Guests

Anyone associated with RCDC in any way, including all members, guests, attendees, instructors, sponsors, volunteers, or staff ("Participants"), is subject to this Code of Conduct while they are participating in the RCDC community, including:

• Using the RCDC workspace or equipment
• Attending any event organized by RCDC or hosted on RCDC premises
• Using any RCDC communication channels (online or in-person)
• Communicating with or about other people associated with RCDC

Inclusion

RCDC is dedicated to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone. Participants must be considerate of others and behave in a professional and respectful manner. RCDC invites all Participants to help further these values.

Unacceptable Behavior

No unacceptable behavior of any kind will be tolerated. This also applies to projects or content created or shared in the RCDC community. Participants asked to stop any unacceptable behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Unacceptable behavior includes sexism, racism, discrimination, disruptive behavior, harassment, and exclusion of any kind.

Reporting

If you experience or notice any unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the RCDC staff immediately. RCDC treats all reports as confidential and asks that Participants avoid disclosing information about an incident until RCDC has addressed the situation.

Resolution

If RCDC determines, either by observation or complaint, that a Participant has violated this Code of Conduct, RCDC may take any action it deems appropriate, including:

• Warning the offender
• Requiring the offender to leave the space for the day
• Suspending the offender's membership (with or without refund, at RCDC's discretion)
• Permanently revoking the offender's membership and access

All determinations of unacceptable behavior are in RCDC's sole discretion and its decisions are final.
